You stand there  looking sad
The paint pealing from your face
Dispare in your bones
 
There is hope as strangers approach
They feel joy and pure Excitement
As they survey the shelter you provide
In your bones we find
A ray of sunshine
No gloom but a chance to bloom
 
Excitement grows as days approach
Ideas and plans are held
For that day to come
That we unlock the past
and combine the present
To bring you to the glory
That will hold our future
 
You my friend will become our Home
I hope you feel our excitement
Keep all others at bay
Hold on tight we will rescue you soon I pray!

Day after Day ©

As the Months dwindle down to weeks
And the weeks into days
The anticipation builds
The clock ticking down
But when it hits that magic time
What will I do?
A bittersweet happiness
 
Day after day you were there
Pushing me
Teaching me
Pulling at every last nerve
 
In the end will it be worth it?
Will it finally pay
or is it once again all in vain?
 
Once you were such confort
A way to hide from the world
Then you pulled me down
Like a chain and ball
But in the end jubilation
What was once far out of reach
It’s here, although it has been all the time
Hidden from sight
Now it’s open to the light
